1969 Mom

I'm sitting here remembering and this comes to mind.
It is true. Baby girls do grow up to be their mother's best friend. Mine did.

Mom's Mini by Beckie Wallace
She has it for free on her blog this weekend. Don't miss it.

Knife Throwing

This was certainly something different. The Frontiersman Knife and Tomahawk Championship was held on the grounds at The Alamo last fall (2007). Folks of all ages competed and it was very much a family oriented group of people competing. Being dressed in period costume seemed to be part of all the goings on. We were particularly impressed with a young man (I think he was 13 or 14 years old). In the picture he is standing in the 2nd row wearing a black hat. He was throwing much better than nearly all of the grown men.

Natchez Trace

This is another layout from our drive last spring along the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was such a lovely, lovely drive.
I put this in the Getting Lyrical with Liz Challenge at Scrap Orchard.

Our Country Boy

Did this layout for Queen Pamedalah's challenge at Scrap Orchard ... May Technique Challenge, Cherry Pickin'. She gives some very helpful hints on how to do selective coloring.

Happiness is ...

Jack is growing so fast and learning new things all the time. He will sit and down on command. Okay, he is working for Cheerios, but he is doing it. I am so happy to have a sheltie in my home again.

Magnificent

Art In Flight by Beckie Wallace
This started out as a challenge at Scrap Orchard but then the picture just seemed to take over everything that I tried to do with the layout. It just would not let me change it in any form or fashion.

The picture was taken on my daughter's family's vacation with friends last summer in Colorado.

ScrapShana Has A New Store

YES! Shana has her new store and not just in one place but two great places, Scraphead and Bits 2 Kits. We (her CT) and all of her friends are so thrilled for her. You will not want to miss any of the excitement going on.

Be sure to visit Shana's blog because in celebration of all of these big events taking place she is giving away her wonderful new kit, A Mother's Love.

Sorry, but the download on this one has expired.
